Lord of the Universe,
You who made yourself small,
help us to acknowledge what we are:
a nothingness willed by the Father
which only in giving has its being
and blossoms rooted in You.
In your child’s face
which asks everything
make us discover
the greatness of the weakness
You have chosen
so as to overcome
once and for all the evil
which inside and around us
wounds us deep within.
So that at this time we may be
with You and like You
seeds of a world of peace
where every clash
becomes a welcome,
where it is no longer necessary
